SEU Worship is the worship movement at Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida. As a collaboration between the faculty, staff, students, and alumni, SEU Worship is a reflection of the worship during weekly chapel services on our campus and within our community. Inspired by the sounds of current pop music and the culture of our student population, our writers aim to craft prophetic, theologically sound lyrics that resonate with audiences of all ages, but especially young adults.
Fruit Takes Time, SEU Worship’s latest single, is a raw and honest prayer of surrender — born out of the in-between of waiting and becoming. It’s a reminder that God’s way of shaping us often looks different than we expect, and that’s the beauty of it. This song is an offering from the waiting—trusting that He’s not in a hurry, and neither do we have to be.
SEU Worship’s upcoming album, A Forgiving God, is a nine-track journey releasing in the summer of 2025. With a blend of folky instrumentation and indie textures, this record is a reflection on the nearness of God—His mercy, His presence, and His faithfulness through every season. These songs speak to the realities of wrestling with shame, longing for home, and choosing to follow Jesus again and again. At its core, this album is a declaration: He’s a forgiving God.
